Who we are

Headland Agency (ABN 77 954 642 519) designs, builds and looks after websites for businesses in Queensland and New South Wales. For anything about your privacy, email us at headland.agency@gmail.com.

When you send an enquiry or ask to meet

When you fill in our enquiry form (on the home page or the contact page) or ask to meet, we collect your name, email and business name, plus anything else you choose to tell us, such as your phone number, current website, suburb, when and where you'd like to meet, and your message.

We only use these details to reply to you, prepare a quote, arrange a meeting and do the work you ask us to do.

We never sell your details or share them with anyone else, unless the law requires it. They're kept in the secure tools we use to receive and answer messages, and we handle them responsibly.

Analytics

To see how many people visit and how they find their way around, we use Rybbit, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we run on our own server (analytics.logie.lol). It doesn't use cookies, and we don't use it to identify you or to show you ads. For each page you view, it records:

• the page's address and title
• the website that sent you here, if any
• links you click to other websites
• your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language
• your approximate location (country, region and city)

It also records how you move through the site, such as clicks, scrolling and the pages you open, so we can play a visit back and see where the site could be easier to use. Anything you type into a form is hidden in these recordings.

Your IP address is used to work out your approximate location and, together with your browser details, to tell repeat visits apart as an anonymous code. The IP address itself isn't stored. The analytics script also saves a random ID in your browser's local storage.

If you'd rather not be counted, you can block analytics.logie.lol with a content blocker.

Client websites in our showcase

Opening a client's website from our showcase loads it straight from that business's own site. It may use its own cookies and analytics, which its own privacy policy covers.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to work with you and to meet our legal and tax obligations, then delete them. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser details, to keep the site running and secure.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no website or online service can be completely secure.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Email headland.agency@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, let us know and we'll try to put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this statement

If the way we handle information changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
